Made by Isidro Gaztanaga in Eibar, Spain, this pistol is undistinguished. Thousands were manufactured prior to World War I and shipped to the United States. Some will be found with white grips and many will have the initials IG on the grips or slide enclosed in an egg-shaped circle. The company made many pistols for the French in World War I. Manufacturing was discontinued in 1936.
