An unusual design by Manufacture Francaise d'Armes et Cycles de St. Etienne, France. First produced in 1914, the .25 caliber pistols were still in production in the 1960s. he barrel is hinged to the frame at the front. Firing of the pistol blows the slide rearward, ejecting the empty case and relaoding from the magazine as the slide travels forward. The pistol does not recock itself. The operation is that of double action. The triger retracts the firing pin, the pin is released by a sear and fires the pistol. Workmanship appears excellent.
